Hi, I’m Jen.

My husband Luc (over at Me Man You Woman) and I have been together for nearly 20 years.

We’ve got two kids: the boy (9 years old) and the girl (7).

Over a glass (OK, a bottle) of wine just before Christmas, we got talking about the fact that, for such a happily married couple, we don’t have a lot in common. No hobbies. No sports. No leisure activities.  We don’t read the same books, listen to the same music or watch the same shows on TV (alright, Ancient Aliens and Pawn Stars, but I swear that’s it). And since we’ve been pretty wrapped up for the last decade or so raising our kids, there’s not much that we do just the two of us for fun.

And so the idea for these parallel blogs was born. It’s a project for us to work on together, to talk about our differences and maybe even discover our similarities in the process.

We hope you’ll enjoy them.

Jen: Thanks for the recents “Likes” and “Follow” over at Project One. I’ve been reading a number of your entries here at “Me Woman You Man” and really enjoying them as well. You have a nice, witty, conversational style which seems just right for such a fun blog. The competing (though maybe “competing” isn’t exactly the right word?) husband / wife perspective thing is certainly an intriguing approach — guess I’ll have to check out Luc’s blog next. Best of luck for continued success.
